If you don't watch American Idol, you can kinda ignore this. If you do watch it, get your picks ready based on the 24 finalists that were revealed tonight... if you want.
I would like to know who you think will win, and why. Any additional analysis or soft picks are welcome as well. I will offer mine soon by way of comment. If no one comments, it will be lame and we won't play.

OK, WinD and I watch this a lot. I am a fan of Chris Daughtry. I like his style and semi-aggression. I also like Taylor Hicks. Now, I think the main demographic that votes are middles school girls. With that being said, Ace stands a good chance.
Boys: Patrick Hall had me speechless in his first Hollywood piece. Amazing sensuality and expression. I also like Chris Daughtry for the same reasons as Brian.
Girls: Katharine McPhee, despite kissing all the judges, does have a lot of potential although she overembellishes every damn note. Country bumpkin Kellie also may stand out, but viewers will probably shy away from the fact that her story is too Carrie-esque. I'm rooting for Mandisa - the mature voice and great attitude are working for her!
Overall, I am extremely disappointed by the superficial exteriors of 98% of the girls. I feel that many were let go that were better caliber, but not as pretty by society's standards. The horrible attitudes and egos we've seen so far also leave little to be desired.
Oh, and as for Ace... he's got a lot of work to do if he wants to prove he's got more substance than his looks.
Ace is hot!! And doesn't seem cocky! Love him!
Brenna is a bitch and grates on my last nerve.
I LOVE Chris Daughtry and I think he's hot too!
I also like Patrick Hall, he's got a nice vibe about him.
Stevie can't sing at all. Can't believe she made it through.
I also like Ayla, she's got a mature confidence about her and a stong, subtle voice.
