I didn't see the whole thing, but I was pleasantly pleased that Elliot pulled off what is one of my favorite all-time tunes. I also don't know that I will be able to stomach the whole show until Bucky or Kevin or both are gone. Nashville Star discussion is above.

It was the first time I'd seen any of the guys, and I wish I hadn't. Watching last night (because I was bored and curious), I realized why up till this season I watch the audition episodes and the Final 4...
Is it just me, or does anyone else think Chris Daughtry looks like (the artist formerly known as) Blog This when they would zoom in???
Yes, Chris looks like him! I would like to hear him sing something, by sing I mean hold a note without gravel or vibrato.
Did anyone else think Ace was awful last night. Hubby said it was becuase of the arrangement. Katharine was wonderful, as usual.
I agree Kevin and Bucky may be the death of my eardrums.
I watched Bucky but wish I hadn't. I chose to move my wet laundry to the dryer during Kevin. Does that tell you anything?
I've never liked Bucky. He's needed to go for a while now. That whole James Hetfield/Scott Stapp scratchy yell thing just doesn't do it for me, especially on a Buddy Holly tune. Take it down a notch, man.
Kevin doesn't meet the facial hair requirement, and doesn't have a voice for radio. Or at least good radio.
Ace was pretty awful, but he'll stick around because he's pretty.
