K. The weakest tonight were Paris (who also gets hurt by being first to sing) and Kinnik. Mandisa was very solid... if America can get past her size, she could last quite a while. Ayla is slipping. I really think Melissa is a poser, and has the potential to have a future comparable to Tonya Harding or Tina Yothers. Kelly... hmmm... I thought Simon's comment was stupid, which I rarely do, though she does have the potential to be Nashville's answer to Jessica Simpson, sort of the descendant of Minnie Pearl, Dolly Parton, and Erline Mandrel (if America can stand her long enough). If Katharine could learn to move and learn to really sell a performance, she could win... absolutely beautiful and curvy in exactly the right ways... potential America's sweetheart.

I think Kinnik goes tonight. She bugs the shit out of me and she can't sing!! I think Paris has got too many fans to be the one to go. It could be Ayla, that was a weak song choice. I agree, Katharine is really good, abeit really stupid. Then again, that honest down home girl thing worked for Kelly Clarkston and Carrie Underwood....
I also think Kinnik will go. As far as who else, I'm not really sure. Maybe Melissa.
I'm not a real fan of Paris, but she's from Fayetteville, so I feel like I have to be.
I also think Katherine could pull it off if she polished up a bit.
As far as Mandisa's size, I think it might eventually be an issue. I mean, Ruben wasn't exactly slim, but for whatever reason it's more marketable for a man to be heavy as opposed to a woman. It's a shame, but it's the nature of the beast, I guess.
I caught the last half of the Big Bucking Chicken. What was that about? Creepy.
