You've Got To Be There

I'll be there. In fact I'll be there the last time Will wrote a meaningful entry in his blog.

The 25th anniversary of the opening is May 1. Was that President Reagan in mission control?

What search on YouTube prompted this posting? Seriously, WTFO!

Well, I moved to Nashville (Tennessee) about 21 months ago. Since living here, I have tried to keep up with local items of interest: current events, Nashville personalities, goings on in my new environs, what have you... As part of that, I ocassionally began to read Tennessee Guy. He posted this article. That got me thinking, and we all know what happens when I get to thinking.

Do World Fair's still exist? Wow.

I actually went to the '82 World's Fair. I remember seeing part of the Great Wall of China, a rock from the Moon, and the Sunsphere (the windows are gold plated!). All that made a big impression on this second-grader.

I was there. I don't remember it being 4 and all, but my parents drove down from PA for it.

Carolina Band parked by the sunsphere one year for a foooooball game (1995-ish?). The area was quite run-down and shady. Who cares about Nawksville anyway?! Pearl can still suck it.
