Tonight I heard my friend and undergrad-next-door-neighbor play this with them. He hasn't changed since college.

He is S.Adam Frey, World-Renowned Euphonium Soloist.

That's what his business card says.

That's another reason I run from him when I see him.

When I was at GA, I remember him as this goofy little guy with big glasses. Then I heard him solo. One of the more amazing players I have had the opportunity to hear. Good for him!

Sweet. What'd you think of the piece? We premiered it with Hammy last month, and I got to play the solo part before he showed up. Pretty good stuff, imho.

MO - I watched him cancel his entire young life to practice that thing. In a way, I feel like he earned that business card.

CH - He is still short and in shape, smaller glasses, less goofy, and an amazing player. It was really cool to see him.

CS - I liked the piece itself, but I did not care for it as a concerto. Just my take.
