And in late (er, early) news...

The new Rascal Fla++s single is a cover:

See Mark Wi||s' 2003 album And The Cr0wd Goes Wild for "What Hurts the M0st." Reeeaaaalllyyyy good tune... just don't think it's brand damn new, 'cause it ain't.

No way! I like that song too, but I had no idea... Isn't it a little early to be already doing a cover ofa a 2003 tune? Have Rascal Flatts no shame??? (yes, that was rhetorical)

Hmmm. I'm surprised too. Pity.

It's kinda early, but not as early as you would think. This has been going on quite a bit lately...

Sar@ Ev@ns "Real Fine Pl@ce t0 St@rt" was a R@dney F0ster cover from 2002. "My Give @ D@mn's Busted" by J0dee Messin@ was originally released by Joe D|ffee in 2001.

Then think back to Sh@meless, Calling Bat0n R0uge, Bu++erfly Kisses (Three versions on the charts at the same time! and it wasn't the 1950's...), and H0w D0 I Live...

It's just weird.

Oh! And let's not forget that F@ith Hill's 2002 release "Cry" originally appeared (with a couple of small but cool differences from F@ith's) on Angie Apar0's 2000 album The American, which happens to be one of my favorite albums ever.

Ask me more Angie trivia when you see me... he's a lot more involved than I once knew.
